Jill, your composition here- which I love of course- connects me to a passage from Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind where Suzuki tells the story of a woman who has lost her warrior husband in battle. “…soon after she wrote in a poem, ‘Just as you unreel the thread from a spool, I want the past to become present.’ When she said this, she actually made past time present.”

    A lovely, deep composition.
