1. I can’t put my finger on it, but there is something about this that makes me think if a Victorian era gaslight, and at the same time captures the flavor of China, and a New Years lantern. So apropros to this time of year…light is the universal thread among so many winter holidays: the sun and burning log of Yule, the lights of Christmas, the candles of Hannuka, the enlightenment of Bodhi Day. Well done!

    1. Thanks for your kind words and insightful impressions about this little lantern. To me, a blend of Victorian, and Chinese New Year is the highest, highest praise! Hope you and your family are enjoying the holiday season – I am so behind on all things holiday. I am both jealous and inspired that you have gotten all crafty and cooking up a storm too! I think my heart may still be in Paris…

      1. That is a good place for a heart to be, though here and now still peeks through in your work. Magic is present when you create beauty, no matter where your thoughts may wander.

        Blessed Yule
